ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico: New Mexico's utility regulator is weighing a proposal that would see the state's largest electric provider reducing the cost of power by 3 percent.
The provider, the Public Service Co. of New Mexico, had instead sought a 9.7 percent increase in rates.
The Public Regulation Commission is expected to vote on the proposal within the next 30 days.
