Rudy Giuliani has allegedly gone from Gracie Mansion to the poorhouse.
That's according to his one-time press secretary, Ken Frydman, who appeared on CNN's "Laura Coates Live," who suggested that the once-revered top prosecutor and NYC mayor is desperately hurting for cash.
"I think he knows that he is not going to live to pay out millions of millions of dollars," Frydman said. "He can't even afford a new car, frankly; that's how low on funds he is."
The former federal prosecutor weathered another day in court for his civil trial lodged by Georgia poll workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, who accused him of defaming them with bogus claims that they were stuffing ballots during the vote count in Atlanta to undermine Trump.
Giuliani is also a co-defendant in Fulton County alongside 18 others, including his one-time client, former President Donald Trump, where he is accused of trafficking conspiracy theories about the 2020 election.
Frydman believes Giuliani is in a desperate state financially and he predicted he would not be able to pay off the damages likely to be awarded to Freeman and Moss.
"So it's a question of collecting," said Frydman . "It's not just the number. you have to actually collect... [Giuliani] doesn't have tens of millions of dollars -- even if he sells his apartment."
Giuliani put his three-bedroom Upper East Side apartment that he's owned for decades up for sale over the summer $6.5 million.
Frydman believes the one ace tucked up Giuliani's sleeve is hoping former President Donald Trump wins back the White House in 2024 and some of his financial and possibly legal troubles may be alleviated.
"I think he is banking on Trump becoming president again; not that he could pardon him in a state case, but the two of them are convinced Trump is going to become president, and they're going to put the band back together again," he said.
