CHRISTMAS is often a time for revisiting beloved characters, especially if you have kids.
However, it might be time to stop obsessing over Kevin the Carrot and get over Gonk – as there is a new adorable mascot taking over supermarkets.
If you’ve been avoiding doing a food shop, you might have not have meet Curtis the Cavapoo yet but this little pup is sure to steal your heart.
More adorable than a John Lewis advert, this cuddly mascot is the face of Tesco’s new festive range with bedding, hot warm bottles and even cushions themed around the character.
Even the biggest of Grinches might struggle to say no to this dog, whose appears in an adorable Santa costume as well as a Christmas pudding outfit.
With the range starting from just £2.50, there are endless Curtis endorsed items on offer including his very own cuddly toy (£15).
For those wanting to get extra cosy this Christmas, there is also an Oddie style jumper (£17), pjs and even slippers (£18).
As the UK is a nation of animal lovers, many shoppers have gone wild for the cavapoo and his range of homewear.
In fact, Tesco’s website has only a few Curtis products left in stock, with the range already selling out in stores too.
With the sweet animated mut still going viral on Tiktok, it’s likely that these items will also disappear before Christmas Day.
Like many dog lovers, student and small business owner Emily also fell in love with the cute cavapoo – immediately sharing her finds on the app.
It seem the content creator was taken with the kitchen wear, showing off the adorable oven gloves, glass tumbler (£3) and large mug (£2.50) on offer.
As she zoomed in on the range, there was also a sign revealing that Clubcard holders could get a reduced price on some items – just in case you weren’t already sold.
With her video gaining over 37,000 views on the app, others were also sold on the adorable pooch.
One commented: “Finally a cavapoo…about time they got some recognition..sick of seeing cockerpoo all the time.”
Other owners felt the same, with another gushing: “My dawgy is a cavapoo and she looks exactly like the dog on the items!”
Some had even managed to get their hands on the viral range, with a third adding: “I got the doorstop and my Cavapoo Ted was not impressed! Competition! Love this range. Thanks Tesco!”
However, it seems not everyone is sold on Curtis – just yet.
“What happened to a good old fashioned Labrador?” complained an unimpressed shopper, with a fifth revealing that her Tesco was already struggling to meet demand.
The employee wrote: “I work for tesco and I have not seen this…only the pjs! I better look tomorrow.”
If you want a dog for life and not just for Christmas, you might have to dash down to Tesco before Curtis goes off on a walkie.
