USA Basketball has today announced that the USA Basketball Men’s National Team will play a pair of games in London as part of the 2024 USA Basketball Showcase and in preparation for the 2024 Olympic Summer Games.
Hosted in partnership between USA Basketball and TEG, the U.S. will face South Sudan on July 20 and reigning FIBA World Cup champion Germany on July 22 at London’s O2 Arena. The trip will mark the U.S. men’s first visit to London since winning the gold medal at the 2012 Olympics.
It will also mark a return home for former GB superstar Luol Deng, now the President of the South Sudan Basketball Federation.
“As a young and developing program, South Sudan Basketball recognises and appreciates the significance of each stage of our progress,” Deng said.
“We accept this invitation as a welcome opportunity to compete at an elite level. The USA Basketball Showcase will be a valued addition to our preparation for Paris, and I look forward to the experience being in London, where my journey as an Olympian began 12 years ago.”
Tickets for both contests, which will tip off at 8 p.m. local/3 p.m. ET, will go on sale at 1 p.m. GMT/8 a.m. ET on Friday, Dec. 15 at www.usab.com/tickets.
The USA Basketball Showcase will be televised live in the United States by FOX Sports, with both games airing on FOX.

To start Olympic preparation, the USA men will hold training camp in Las Vegas, its longtime training hub, they be will competing for their fifth straight – and 17th overall – Olympic gold medal.
