Students can ‘safely’ return to the classroom at Ann Hill School on Monday.
That is the word from the Ministry of Education after announcing that work was completed at the Pine Plantation Road, St Michael, plant.
Repairs were being done on the roof and areas which had leaks and water stains. However, painting will be postponed until the upcoming Christmas holidays.
The Ministry also thanked all concerned for their understanding during this process.
Last week, parents and teachers called for relocation after persistent leaks affected instruction and classes had to be conducted in the corridors. They also complained of mould and poor indoor air quality.
The Barbados Union of Teachers advised the Ministry to relocate while they awaited results of an environmental probe. (PR/SAT)
