The quarterback suffered a hit in the fourth quarter that left him on the ground in pain.
Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud is in concussion protocol and will not return to Week 14’s game vs. the Jets after he left in the fourth quarter.
He remained on the ground following a hit by Jets defensive lineman Quinton Jefferson, prompting medical staff to run onto the field to check him out. He was able to walk off the field on his own.
From there, Stroud was taken to the locker room for further testing. Backup quarterback Davis Mills stepped into the game.
