My $27 Skims dupe is better quality for half the price, I compared them side by side, Kim Kardashian is ripping us off
A FASHIONISTA has found a Skims dupe from Amazon for $27.
After putting them side by side, she determined that the Amazon copy was half the price and better quality.
TikToker Sydney Deleney (@sydneydelreyy) created a video about the T-shirts created by Pumiey.
“Your PSA that more expensive does not mean better,” Sydney said in the clip. “This top is $26 on Amazon.”
The long-sleeved crew neck currently retails for $27 on Amazon.
“It’s made of the exact same fabric makeup as Skims Fits [Everybody],” she said.
The tops from Skims Fits Everybody, which retail for $54, are made from 76% Polyamide and 24% Elastane.
Pumiey’s top from their Smoke Cloud collection is made from 75% Polyamide and 25% Elastane.
That means the Puimey top is made out of the same material as Skims but it’s half the price.
Sydney said the Pumiey top is doubled-lined, whereas the Skims top is single-lined, making the Amazon dupe more sturdy.
“You can totally make it like whatever length you want,” she said. “Half the price for better quality. Make it make sense.”
“Stop getting ripped off on Skims, please,” she finished.
In a separate video, Sydney said the Skims version was see-through and you could see her “nips.”
“Today’s the day you’re going to stop getting ripped off by Kim K,” she said.
Skims is the loungewear, underwear, and shapewear brand created by Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Kim Kardashian.
“We are setting new standards by providing solutions for every body,” the brand says in their About Me statement.
