Donald Trump had some comments upon seeing the work of a courtroom sketch artist in the New York fraud trial on Thursday.
Speaking to MSNBC outside the courtroom, reporter Yasmin Vossoughian said that Trump walked by the artists on the way out of the court and commented that the drawing was "good." But when he came back, he had some criticism.
"Is that me?" Trump asked. "I think I need to lose some weight."
It's unknown if Trump was saying that to himself or giving a veiled demand to the artist's perception.
Sketch artists' pictures have been important to the Trump family members. When Donald Trump Jr. appeared, he begged the artist to make him look "sexy."
Another artist from Trump's first appearance on the stand in the fraud trial made him look thin, but he was criticized for giving him "dainty hands."
A previous courtroom sketch from June drew criticism because it made Trump look about 40 or 50 years younger.
"That courtroom sketch artist was feeling very generous," The Lincoln Project commented at the time.
In his Washington, D.C. case, Trump was drawn looking old, meek and angry.
Trump fans have responded with their own AI version of drawings showing Trump sitting next to Jesus Christ.
