NIGEL Harman has been spotted for the first time since his shock Strictly exit and ‘rowing with his wife in front of the audience at the Blackpool show’.
The former EastEnders fans shocked fans when he dropped out of the competition just hours before Saturday night’s episode (December 2).
Nigel and dance partner Katya Jones had to withdraw on medical grounds after he hurt his rib during training.
The soap star has now been seen out and about after his shock departure strolling the streets of West London.
Nigel looked casual in a black jumper, t-shirt and trousers.
He completed his look with a yellow cap and a pair of white trainers.
The Casualty favourite was due to perform a Charleston to Step in Time from Disney‘s Mary Poppins during the live quarter-finals.
However a source told us: “Nigel wasn’t in training this morning, and other dancers were informed later on in the day. He and Katya were really disappointed as they were hoping to stay in the competition.
“They hadn’t been in the bottom two so had a real chance of making it to the finals.
“Nigel has been training really hard and really threw himself into rehearsals.”
A BBC spokesperson said: “Unfortunately Nigel has sustained a rib injury which means he is unable to perform in tonight’s show and has had to withdraw from Strictly.”
It was later revealed that Nigel had a ‘furious row with his wife Lucy in front of shocked fans in Blackpool’.
The actor wasn’t happy with his scores from the judges after they received 31 out of 40 when they were in Blackpool.
A source from the audience told MailOnline: “Nigel was super pumped up for the show, unlike the other celebrities they all interacted with fans as they took to their seats off camera after being introduced, but he was just in the zone, he ignored people saying hello to him.
“And it all kicked off when he got his scores from the judges. When the cameras stopped rolling he stormed back to his seat and beckoned his wife over. You could tell she knew what was coming.
“She tried to pacify him but he didn’t work and he took his disappointment out on her.
“After he walked off, Katya then tried to console her. She was visibly upset.”
The news came shortly after The Sun revealed that crew members were relieved Nigel had left the competition after experiencing his backstage mood swings.
