In a year of quarterbacking-by-committee throughout the NFL, no team has had a revolving door quite like the Browns.
Cleveland has started four signal-callers this season—Deshaun Watson, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, P.J. Walker and now Joe Flacco. Somehow, the Browns have emerged 7-5 and remain in the thick of the AFC postseason quagmire.
The casual fan may see Cleveland's record and wonder whether the Browns have been seamlessly, through skill or luck, able to trot out any warm body in 2023. This has hardly been the case, as Flacco proved Sunday to humorous effect.
In a clip that circulated following Cleveland's 36-19 loss to the Rams Sunday, Flacco is shown checking his wristband mere seconds before a snap—ostensibly to refresh his memory of the playcall.
nothing sums up the Browns dire QB situation more than Flacco still looking at the playcall on his wristband a couple seconds before he takes the snap lol

Flacco had been elevated to the active roster on Saturday, and was returned to the practice squad on Monday.
Seemingly disregarding the transient nature of his assignment, Flacco posted a solid statistical line of 254 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
