Erik ten Hag has lost 50 per cent of the Man Utd dressing room - report

Manchester United players believe that Erik ten Hag must improve his man-management and be more ‘touchy-feely.’

Sky Sports News reports that some Man United senior players have spoken to the manager about where they feel the club is going wrong.

The report further revealed that Ten Hag has lost half of his dressing room because he refused to act on concerns voiced by players.

The Red Devils lost to Newcastle United on Sunday, slipping to the seventh spot on the Premier League table.

The scoreline of 1-0 did not do justice to the domination of the Magpies over Man United.

Man United players must take responsibility for poor results

Erik ten Hag’s arrival last season was like a breath of fresh air. He brought in the sense of authority that was lacking at Man United.

Everyone applauded his rigorous training methods and high demands.

However, after a poor start to the campaign, the same managerial techniques are being slammed.

Ten Hag has made a few bad calls this season, but the onus of poor results is not solely on him.

Marcus Rashford put on an embarrassing display against Newcastle. He did not bother to track back his man and left Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the two-on-one situation.

Man United have scored goals for fun in the UEFA Champions League, but individual errors have placed them rock-bottom in Group A.

Injuries and off-field issues related to Antony and Jadon Sancho have not helped the Dutchman either.

The sacking of Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had a similar pattern. 

A string of bad results, followed by rumours of problems in the dressing room.

Ten Hag might fall into the same pit if the players don’t show more fight on the pitch.

Sacking managers is not the solution. Questions must be asked from the players who have been here for years pocketing handsome wages.
