With messages of hope and life, pro-life advocates plan to sing Christmas carols outside abortion facilities all across the country.
The “Peace in the Womb” caroling project has been going on for eight years, and, through their singing and encouragement, pro-lifers have helped save unborn babies from abortion.
In the aftermath of the Dobbs v. Jackson Supreme Court ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade, pro-life Americans are declaring, “All I want for Christmas is peace in the womb.” In the coming weeks, they will gather under banners expressing those words as they sing Christmas carols outside abortion facilities throughout the country, as part of the Pro-Life Action League’s annual “Peace in the Womb” Christmas Caroling campaign.
And this year with the terorist attack on Israel, sponsors of the pro-life Christmas carols have a special focus.
With violence in the Middle East resuming after a temporary cease-fire agreement, pro-life activists in the United States are calling for an end to the violence of abortion. In the coming weeks, they will gather outside abortion facilities throughout the country to sing Christmas carols, as part of the Pro-Life Action League’s annual “Peace in the Womb” Christmas Caroling campaign. Caroling events are planned at over 80 abortion facilities coast-to-coast. In the 21 years the League has organized these event, many women have heard the caroling and decided to cancel their abortions.
“Amidst all the horrors we’ve seen in the Middle East over the past couple of months, the most disturbing scenes by far involve violence against children,” noted Eric Scheidler, executive director of the Pro-Life Action League. “As we’ve seen, the worst thing one side can say about the other is that they deliberately kill children. But here in the United States, we have a whole industry devoted to killing children in the womb.”

Scheidler said that he is troubled to see such unrest in the Holy Land as Christians worldwide prepare to celebrate Christmas. “It’s heartbreaking to see such scenes of violence in the birthplace of the Prince of Peace,” Scheidler said. “When Jesus was born in Bethlehem two thousand years ago, the angels sang of ‘peace on earth, good will towards men.’ That’s the same message we’re bringing out to abortion facilities during our Christmas Caroling events.”
And the message has landed, Scheidler reports. “In our first year singing carols, a woman walked out of American Women’s Medical Center in Chicago to tell us that hearing ‘Silent Night’ prompted her to cancel her abortion,” Scheidler reported. “In the years since, we’ve seen that story play out again and again at abortion facilities all over the country.”
“One of the highlights of the Christmas story is the moment when Mary, Joseph, and the unborn baby Jesus are welcomed to take shelter in a stable,” Scheidler remarked. “But we should recall that the very first place Jesus was welcomed was his mother’s womb. We’re inviting all mothers — and fathers — to welcome their children with open hearts, and calling on our entire society to prepare a place for every unborn child.”
