A TRAIN union official hurled insults in a pub — after drivers discussing strike action were asked to move for a wake.
One raging Aslef branch member told a barman to “f*** off” when he requested the rail group shift from a pre-booked table.
An Aslef member hurled insults at pub workers after his group was asked to move for a wake[/caption]A colleague from London’s Euston Station had to hold him back in last month’s row at The Somers Town Coffee House in King’s Cross, it was said.
A source claimed: “One bloke, very aggressive, started to get up from his seat. He was like, ‘No one f**ing told us. We’re not moving. You treat us like c**s. We are regulars’.
“He knocked his mate’s drink out his hand, smashing the glass. His mates were trying to calm him down.
“After that, he stood outside while they finished their drinks.”
The pub had set the area aside so Camden Council staff could hold a memorial for a colleague.
The boozer contacted Aslef and an official is understood to have visited to investigate.
It comes after The Sun told yesterday how Aslef officials held a festive bash at a hotel in Doncaster last Friday — the day the latest strikes began.
The union voted to continue industrial action, meaning six more months of misery for rail users and an £800million hit to the hospitality industry.
An overtime ban began on Saturday and strikes are scheduled this week.
Ministers had urged Aslef to accept the latest offer after the RMT agreed to a five per cent pay rise and job security guarantees.
The Somers Town Coffee House declined to comment.
Aslef was contacted over the pub row.
