The Basketball Federation of India (BFI) plans to launch NBA school leagues for 3x3 events in January 2024 to scout young players. Additionally, it aims to open 10 NBA-style academies across the country. These academies would provide education, accommodation, and international-level coaching to players under 13, under 16, under 18, and up to the age of 23. The BFI intends to have a 365-day training program, unlike cricket where players focus more on playing rather than attending camps.
