Love Island legend Liberty Poole hits out at ‘dangerous’ surgery trend loved by Towie and Geordie Shore stars
LIBERTY Poole shared her real thoughts on a popular beauty trend loved by reality stars.
Chatting to us at The Beauty Awards, the jaw-dropping former Love Island star explained that she wasn’t ‘keen’ on a very popular surgery that has gone viral on social media in recent years.
From lip fillers to tummy tucks, spray tans and tattooed brows, reality stars are well-known for staying ahead of the latest beauty trends.
Although she rose to fame on our screens back in 2021, Liberty seems to be more interested in confidence rather than cosmetic nips and lifts.
Revealing she often recieves private messages from fans asking about her confidence, the star could be heard gushing that she feels talking about the topic is a “need” and urged her followers to “embrace their natural beauty”.
When asked what she feels are the worst beauty trends, the blonde bombshell could be heard exclaiming: “There is a lot out there that- you’re scrolling and you’re like ‘hmmm’, side-eye.
“But I think BBL’s, because I think they are so dangerous and I hear so many horror stories about them, I think people should just embrace their bodies that they are born in.”
She then added: “I would say BBL’s, I’m not a fan of them.”
The procedure named the ‘Brazilian Butt Lift’ involves taking fat from areas like the stomach and back, and transferring it into the bum.
Katie Price infamously underwent the painful surgery and gut-wrenching recovery process back in 2021, leaving her bruised and with severe scarring.
Just this month The UK Government has said it will meet with Turkish officials after a British woman died during a Brazilian butt lift operation in Turkey.
The surgery has a worrying mortality rate of between one in 2,351 to one in 6,241.
Despite the high-risk nature of the procedure, it has still been undergone by the likes of Towie and Geordie Shore stars, including Dani Imbert and Sophie Kasaei who have both previously shared eye-popping complications and drawbacks of the augmentation.
Sophie even revealed that she nearly died in the aftermath of the surgery, after becoming severely unwell.
The popularity of the trend doesn’t seem to convince Liberty though, who insisted they are ‘dangerous’ and favoured ‘natural beauty’ instead.
