A BEACH in the UK has such beautiful sand, that it has been compared to the coastline of California.
And it was even given the first Blue Flag in the country, as well as often being named one of the best beaches in Europe.

However, it’s not just its sandy beach that has attracted tourists over the years.
It is said to have more than 300 shipwrecks along the coastline, dating back as far as 1668.
One of the wrecks that is on land is the SV Paul, which crashed after leaving Nova Scotia in October 1925, aiming to land in Pembrokeshire.
While no one died in the wreck, its cargo of expensive tropical timber was taken by locals, with many houses still using it now.
Otherwise when the tide is out, you can also see the hull of the SS Paul.
And some of the shipwrecks weren’t due to weather, but pirates onshore, who would attract sailors before robbing them.
But in modern day, there is another amazing sight at the beach too.
The beach has been used by the RAF to land some of their aircraft as part of a training exercise.
Earlier this year, an Atlas 1400M was spotted landing with aircrew practising sand landings.
It’s also been a site for animals too – back in 2015, the most endangered sea turtle washed up on the shore, while seals have often been spotted.
People have raved about the beach on TripAdvisor.
One person wrote: “This beautiful beach goes on for miles which you don’t seem to bump into many people, great for peace and quiet seekers.”
Another agreed: “Beautiful huge beach. Not a lot of people about so nice and comfortable.”
A third wrote: “This has to be one of the best beaches in the UK.”
The beach has toilets and beach wheelchairs available for rent, with dogs allowed in certain areas all year round.
Tourists are advised to stay away from the sand dunes, with them at risk of collapsing.
In Portugal, a number of sandy beaches have been dubbed the “California of Europe”.
And here’s another UK seaside resort with golden sands and the “best beach bar in the country”.
