I’M A Celeb fans have unfairly blasted Nella Rose as “lazy” and commented that she had “gone missing” this episode.
The YouTube star, 26, finally got her long-awaited revenge on Fred Sirieix in last night’s show, when she was chosen as the camp leader, with Danielle Harold as her deputy.
Replacing Sam Thompson, Nella was now able to enjoy a good night sleep in the caravan.
But some cruel fans have hit out at the star for being a late riser and not pulling her weight around camp.
One fumed: “Nella still in bed. So lazy but wants to complain about others.”
“She is super lazy with everything she does. Hopefully the trial will be long enough to keep her on feet. It will do her good to walk about,” a second said.
This person fumed: “The fact Nella is still in bed, not socialising just says it all. Get up lazy and join the group.”
A fourth said: “Does Nella do anything but sleep, very lazy.”
But not all fans felt the same and there were many supporting her.
One wrote: “It’s heartbreaking being a fan of Nella right now, knowing her story and seeing how hurtful people are being, one comment can be the biggest setback for a person and yet she is going to have deal with thousands, I really hope she can get through this when she gets out.”
This viewer shared: “I hope Nella fans can help her stay but at the same time I’m sure she’d like to go home because the British public keep voting her for every trial, anyways love Nella.”
At the end of the episode Nella was voted for her eight Bushtucker Trial.
It comes after show hosts Ant and Dec slammed fan theories saying that the show is a ‘fix’ row after Nella became the camp leader.
Despite winning a secret camp ballot by three votes, some viewers were quick to say the outcome was “obvious” following claims that the show has been “fixed” in Nella’s favour.
Geordie host Ant took the unusual step to hit back at accusations and said: “I saw a few people on social media say that it was obvious [that Nella was voted camp leader].
“No, it wasn’t. It was a complete blind vote which they’ve done down there, it was completely up to the campmates.
“Not up to anybody here in production.
“They obviously enjoy her in camp and think that she needs to be camp leader and we like it because it’s great for the show.”
While co-host, Declan Donnelly, 48, added: “It’s great content.”
