Break-in, food theft at Saratoga Woods Swim Club

Nov. 20

Theft by false pretenses: A Saratoga resident reported contacting someone through a fake investment website. The suspect ultimately convinced the victim to invest money in a fraudulent real estate scheme for a total loss of about $54,000.

Possession of a stolen vehicle and drug paraphernalia: At 2:38 p.m., deputies responded to an automated license plate reader notification for a stolen vehicle at Saratoga and Kosich avenues. An investigation revealed the vehicle was stolen from Fremont and still outstanding. The vehicle was located and stopped a short time later. The suspect, who was also in possession of drug paraphernalia, was arrested and booked into main jail.

Petty theft: Between 2:04 p.m. and 2:12 p.m., two suspects stole mail packages from the front porches of two residences in the 20000 block of Seaton Avenue for a total loss of about $130.

Nov. 25

Commercial burglary: Between 6:50 p.m. on Nov. 23 and 12:54 p.m. on Nov. 25, someone entered the Saratoga Woods Swim Club on Saratoga Creek Drive. The suspect(s) broke a window, forced two doors open and consumed food. The total amount of damage was estimated at $3,000.

Nov. 26

Vandalism: Between 8:26 a.m. and 9:02 a.m., someone vandalized Wildwood Park on Fourth Street by breaking a light, damaging a paper towel dispenser and covering the playground in toilet paper. The total amount of damage was estimate at less than $400.

Public intoxication: At 10:32 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance at the intersection of Saratoga Avenue and Shadow Oaks Way. An investigation revealed the suspect was unable to care for himself due to being under the influence of alcohol.
