A sprawling mansion in Alamo, Calif. built by Peoplesoft founder Dave Duffield is for sale for $35 million.
It took three-and-a-half years and $135 million to build the French country-style estate, named Fieldhaven, in 2012. The property sits on 21-plus acres and boasts 10 bedrooms and 22 baths. There are also two guest houses and a barn that can house 20 cars.
Duffield sold the home in 2020 with the proceeds going to Maggie’s Fund, a no kill pet shelter in the East Bay established in memory of his family’s beloved dog.
In fact, the property includes a dog spa as well as two pools and an outdoor kitchen. The expansive grounds are teeming with lush lawns, mature oaks and stone walls. And after the sale in 2020, a solar field was installed at the property.
Marilee Headen of Compass and Taso Tzakos of Engel & Volkers hold the listing.
Duffield sold Peoplesoft to the Oracle Corp. in 2005 for $10.7 billion. He is currently CEO emeritus of Workday, Inc., and the founder and co-CEO of Ridgeline, Inc.
