I’m 5’5″ and 280 lbs, I did an Amazon Christmas sweater haul to see if they fit my plus-size body and it was a mixed bag
A PLUS size influencer has shared her festive Christmas sweater haul for her body type.
She trial-and-errored multiple options with a mixed bag of results.
Zoey (@curvygirlzoey) shared the try-on video with over 15,000 TikTok followers.
The 5’5″ and 280 pounds influencer couldn’t be more excited for “ugly sweater season” and grabbed some cozy pieces from Amazon to test on her plus-size body.
First, she tried on a green sweater with red and white stripes, $30, with “Santa’s Favorite H*” across the stomach in large red letters that she picked up in 3XL.
“This one is a little bit snug… love a good pun, it is the knitted sweater material so that’s nice,” she said.
The sweater hit her at the waist but she had to take off a few points for the fit and awkward placement of the words, for a 6/10 score.
“This thing starts at my boobs and it goes far off to the sides so you have to see the whole thing to read what it says,” she said.
Next was a thin brown 2XL long-sleeve sweatshirt, $23, with ornaments, stockings, and a Christmas tree.
“This is comfortable, it’s a good gag one but it’s not going to keep you very warm,” she said.
She added the vibes of the sweater were funny: “Your drunk uncle who got his nipples pierced on a dare,” she joked, giving the sweater a 7/10 for its comfort and design.
Last but not least was a classic red, white, and green 2XL printed sweater, $30, with a dinosaur, also wearing the same Christmas sweater.
“His sleeves are too long, that’s f**king adorable,” she said, laughing at the dinosaur’s short arms.
“The fit of this one is nice, the length is flattering, it’s super comfortable and it’s soft, it’s not an itchy knit,” she said.
She gave the piece a 10/10 for its comfort and versatility for all Christmas functions.
