THERE are a number of different cleaning products that promise to make your loo sparkle – but according to one whizz, the answer can be found in your kitchen.
That’s right, instead of wasting your money on oftentimes pricey cleaning essentials from the store, one expert, Neat Caroline, advised to best ditch bleach and use vinegar instead.
The cheap cupboard staple, which can be purchased for as little as 35p at most supermarkets, such as Tesco, makes for a ”great toilet cleaner”, Caroline claimed.
To remove any nasty stains, the guru advised to simply pour 1/2 cup of vinegar in the toilet and let it works its magic for five to ten minutes.
Once the time is up, finish the process with a bit of scrubbing to get rid of the residue and flush – that’s all, really!
However, according to Caroline, there are even more uses of the popular cooking ingredient around the house, including banishing stubborn grease from your dishwasher.
The acidic nature of vinegar, Caroline demonstrated in her video, not only removes grime from the appliance but also gets rid of nasty lingering aromas.
For this, the cleaning process is just as easy, as you only place one cup of vinegar in your dishwasher and run it on a hot cycle – voila.
What’s more, the pro, from New York, the USA, added that the popular ingredient also works wonders when doing your laundry.
To make your clothes ”super soft” possible, Caroline said to first chuck in your favourite detergent, your washing, and complete the process with adding a 1/4 cup of vinegar to fabric softener dispenser.
Running low on your all-purpose cleaner? No worries, the cleaning pro added that vinegar makes for a great alternative.
The budget-friendly mixture, which consists of 1:1 water and vinegar, can be used on windows, glass, mirrors and even stainless steel, the expert claimed.
Meanwhile, the acidic kitchen staple is also fantastic at deodorising the microwave – and it tackles grim grease too.
For this, Caroline advised to microwave one cup of vinegar and water (1:1 ratio) for one to two minutes and then letting it sit for an additional minute inside.
Once done, simply grab a dam sponge and give it a good wipe.
