BT Mail appears to be suffering a mysterious outage that’s preventing customers from logging in.
The issue started just after 4pm UK time, according to the Down Detector website.
Cause of the problem not yet clear[/caption]More than 1,500 reports were picked up from confused users trying to access their emails on November 30.
It’s not clear how widespread the issue is.
Nor do we know what’s caused it as yet.
Judging by Down Detector and a quickly growing number of comments on social media, it seems BT Mail is suffering from some sort of outage.
However, the current comments suggest it might be limited to those who are trying to read their emails from a desktop as opposed to on their mobiles.
“Urm @bt_uk my Premium Email isn’t working on the web (yet again!) but it’s fine on my mobile app, any clue what’s going on with it atm?” one user wrote on X / Twitter.
“Does anyone know if @bt_uk email is broken? I can’t seem to log on to the webpage. Seems ok on my phone though,” another said.
One of the immediate ways to tell if BT mail is down for everyone – and not just you – is by checking social media like X, formerly known as Twitter.
BT may post updates on its own X account too, which you can check at @bt_uk.
The company also has its own service status checker for all its products available here.
The Sun also has a live blog for the very latest updates.
