Sabah have revealed that Tanguy Ndombele is keen to prove himself at Galatasaray and made it clear to the club that he will not be exiting through the back door.
During the international break, we relayed a report from Milliyet, which claimed that Galatasaray boss Okan Buruk, who had previously been frustrated by Ndombele’s lack of fitness and his poor attitude, had held ‘a special meeting’ with the player.
It was explained that Buruk stressed to the 26-year-old that he believed in his talent and consequently, the player showed an improvement in training.
The on-loan Tottenham man subsequently played all 90 minutes for the Istanbul side on Saturday as they overcame Alanyaspor 4-0 at home, and then another hour against Man United in the Champions League.
Sabah have now claimed that Ndombele is keen to ‘recover as soon as possible’ and has now reduced 3.5 kg to reach an ‘ideal weight’ of 81 kg after his chat with Buruk.
It is asserted that the former Lyon man has sent a clear message to the Galatasaray boss about his intention to stay at the RAMS Park. Ndombele allegedly told Buruk and the club’s hierarchy: “I will not leave, I will show myself and stay in the team.”
The outlet adds that the midfielder will look to showcase his qualities over the upcoming fixtures and hopes to establish himself in the starting eleven.

Given the number of false dawns there have been with Ndombele over the years, it is difficult to be anything but sceptical about his prospects of turning his career around. We will see over the coming weeks if the penny has indeed dropped for the Frenchman this time.
