London Lions defeated Lithuanian side Wolves Vilnus 87-101, in BKT EuroCup regular season on Tuesday evening.
The Lions went into halftime with a commending 20 point lead, fueled by their defence and long range shooting. The held the hosts to just 13 points in the second quarter.
Following a dominant first half, the Lions’ offensive rhythm fell apart. Vilnus chipped away at their lead to make it a single digit game with 5 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. However, the Lions fended off the Wolves to secure the victory.
London Lions remain unbeaten on the road in the competition. They improved their record to 7-2 with their fourth straight win.

“We got a really great group of guys that really want to win”, Player of the Game Conor Morgan said after the game.
“We showed a lot of resilience holding up at the end.”
Conor Morgan scored his EuroCup career-high with 22 points adding 6 rebounds. Gabe Olaseni registered 21 points and 5 rebounds. Four London players scored in double digits.
Tre’Shawn Thurman led Vilnus with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Four Vilnus players scored in double figures.
London Lions will return to action in the BKT EuroCup regular season against Umana Reyer Venice on December 5th at Palasport Taliercio at 7pm.
