WE’RE all doing our best to dry our laundry these days in the absence of warm summer breezes.
If you’ve nabbed one of those heated airers to help out, you might be surprised to learn there’s a hack you can use to dry them even faster.
Asda shoppers are rushing to buy heated airer covers with prices starting from £5[/caption]A heater airer cover traps the heat your airer produces and therefore slashes the drying time of your clothes.
Shoppers have spotted bargain heated airer covers in Asda and they can help to reduce condensation.
Asda is selling a Tower heated air dryer cover for £6 and a Winged clothes airer cover for £5.
The covers are machine washable and designed to go over your heated air from top to bottom.
The bargain buy was shared in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group online.
One shopper said: “For anyone who has heater airers came across these covers on Asda the other day, an absolute bargain compared to other places.”
One user claimed: “Just ordered these, thanks for the post, cheapest I’d seen were £15.”
Another said: “Sounds like a good idea.”
However, some Facebook users pointed out there may be an even cheaper option.
One user admitted: “I just throw a sheet over mine and tuck the sheet down the back of the radiators. Clothes are dried so quickly.”
Heated airer covers are quite difficult to find as most of them are sold with a matching heater airer but you can find them in other retailers.
The Range had one for £4.99 online but it looks like it has already sold out. The cheapest one in stock is now £15.99
B&Q have a freestanding heated airer cover for more than three times the price of the ones in Asda at £15.99.
Very has a minky heated airer cover from £17 as well.
If you are ordering one of the Asda heated airers online bear in mind you will need to pay for delivery which starts from £3.50.
Make sure you shop around before deciding on a heater airer cover to buy and check the size of your heated airer so you can find a cover that fits.
It may be cheaper for you to purchase a heated airer with a cover included.
