A WOMAN has gone viral on TikTok after unveiling the ‘private school girl Christmas list’ for 2023 – and taking aim at many of the items included.
Social media user Caitlin said she’d used personal experience to compile a festive wish list that any boarding school or private school girl would go wild for.
A social media user went viral after unveiling her take on the ‘private school girl Christmas list’[/caption] She said it included designer bags, gold jewellery and jumpers[/caption]But Caitlin joked that many of the ‘essentials’ they would be asking for are not worth their price tag.
In a video posted to her TikTok account @caitlinann_, she said: “If you have a posh private school girl in your life and you don’t know what to get her for Christmas, or you are a posh private school girl and you don’t know what to ask for for Christmas, this list should help.”
She then launched into her top picks, starting off with a designer bag.
Caitlin explained: “The amount of Longchamp bags that I see paired with North Face in the library is ridiculous.
“[So] if you’re going for the posh private school girl aesthetic, it’s not complete without a Longchamp bag.”
Up next, Caitlin highlighted a popular jewellery brand – and why their products were a must-have for “posh girls”.
The 22-year-old continued: “This one might be obvious but go on Bijoux De Mimi.
“They have so much cute jewellery and it’s all gold and private school girly.”
In fact, Caitlin went one step further and claimed that “any gold, chunky jewellery” would fit the bill and guarantee a big smile at Christmas time.
However, Caitlin couldn’t hold back from mocking some of the items that are popular amongst the rich girls.
She said: “This one seems like a no-brainer, but I thought I would mention it anyway.
“Get them a pair of Ugg Ultra Minis.
“Yes, they are basically expensive slippers that you can’t really wear when it’s raining – so half the time in the UK – but they go very well with a crusty, white dog.”
She also branded Apple’s AirPod max headphones as “unnecessarily expensive” – but she added “that will make a private school girl love them ten times more.”
Meanwhile, she picked out a Ralph Lauren cream jumper with an American flag design.
She said: “Yes, this jumper is £340 – but I promise you, this will make a private school girl’s year.
“In fact, probably their whole life, to be honest.”
While her final picks were none other than a jellycat toy and a mug – but, of course, not just any mug.
She said: “If you’re a countryside posh girl, an Emma Bridgewater mug should go down a treat.
“Get them a personalised one – you can’t go wrong.”
And it didn’t take long for the video to blow up on social media, as many said they’d been majorly entertained.
One wrote: “Well, she’s not wrong.” As a second added: “I love your videos!”
