Man Crushed To Death: A shocking incident has emerged from the national capital in which a man experienced a painful death after getting trapped in the gap between an approaching Delhi Metro train and the platform at Qutab Minar station. The tragic incident occurred when the passenger attempted to cross the platform via the tracks instead of using the underground bridge. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) reported that he was crushed between the platform edge and the metro train.
The train operator spotted the man and immediately applied the emergency brakes and the man was rescued. He was rushed to the hospital but doctors declared him dead. The deceased body was sent to the AIIMS Trauma Centre Mortuary, said a senior police officer.
The deceased was wearing a yellow shirt and blue jeans and had a tattoo ‘Sunil’ on his forearm. The postmortem was performed on November 23. Blood samples have been taken to find whether the deceased was intoxicated.
After the horrific incident, the DMRC issued an advisory for the passengers urging them not to cross or try to walk on the metro tracks or enter restricted areas on the stations.
This isn’t the initial occurrence; several months ago, an incident unfolded where a man forcefully struck an elderly individual within the metro, although the precise reason remains undisclosed. Promptly, bystanders stepped in to extricate the senior citizen from danger, pushing the aggressor to the opposite side of the seats and confronting him assertively.
