Spotify Wrapped is back for another year. The viral campaign, which launched in 2016, allows users to view metrics of their activity on the app over the last 12 months and tabulates the most-listened-to artists, songs, and podcasts amongst all of its members. This year, Spotify is introducing a few new personalized additions to Wrapped.
Here’s how you can get your Spotify Wrapped in time for the holidays.
You can access your personalized data through the Spotify app. On the home screen, there will be a button that reads: “Your 2023 Wrapped.” It will then take you to another screen, where you click on the “Your Wrapped” option to generate results.
This year, Spotify introduced a new way of obtaining your roundup. Users can now go to Spotify.com/Wrapped on any internet browser to find their personalized rankings.
The platform is also introducing the “Me in 2023” feature, which is similar to last year’s “music personality” enhancement. Me in 2023 assigns you one of 12 “listening characters” based on your taste in music. For example, a "Shapeshifter" possesses "erratic" and "eclectic" taste in music.
Spotify likewise added some details to the metrics it presents to listeners. Now, when viewing your top five artists, you’ll see which month of the year your consumption of each respective artist peaked. For musicians and podcasters, there’s an enhanced feature that aggregates their most listened-to content of the year.
