Regis Progais says David Benavidez has proved to be simply too big and strong for his opponents.
With Regis Prograis gearing up for his upcoming title defense against Devin Haney, he takes some time to chat with Fight Hype about his thoughts on this past weekend’s PPV featuring David Benavidez vs Demetrius Andrade. Check out why he says Benavidez dominated in a way he didn’t expect.
“Benavidez surprised me. I thought it was going to be a close fight, but Benavidez just went out there and he destroyed Boo Boo. I thought Boo Boo was definitely going to do better than that but it looks like right now Benavidez is like a man against boys when he’s fighting. He’s too big, he’s too strong – that’s all.
“He’s beating these guys down too easily. They’re the same weight but I think his size is just too much. He’s just too much for these guys right now and right now it looks like man versus boys.”
“That’s a super fight…Right now I would probably still give it to Canelo just because Canelo is Canelo; you can’t never go away from Canelo, Canelo is a Hall of Famer. For me, in my opinion, Canelo is the best Mexican fighter in history – in my opinion…Right now I would have to lean towards Canelo because he did have the better competition.”
