Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has made four changes to the starting line-up for this evening’s Champions League group stage clash with Galatasaray on the road.
The Red Devils picked up a third successive Premier League over the weekend against Everton. They will be aiming to carry the momentum into a must-win game against the Turkish champions.
United are currently bottom of Group A with three points, one behind Galatasaray and Copenhagen. The club must secure a victory to keep their round of 16 destiny in their own hands.
Ahead of the game, Ten Hag has opted to make four changes to the XI. We had anticipated Aaron Wan-Bissaka to get the nod over Diogo Dalot at right-back and the manager has done the same.
The 25-year-old is one of the best defenders in one-on-one situations and has a good track record against Wilfried Zaha, having shared the dressing room with him at Crystal Palace.
Meanwhile, Ten Hag has surprised us by picking Sofyan Amrabat to partner Scott McTominay in midfield. Kobbie Mainoo has dropped to the bench despite his superb full debut at Everton.
Further forward, Antony has returned on the right wing with Marcus Rashford suspended.
Up front, there is another change with Anthony Martial making way for Rasmus Hojlund. The Dane has been superb in the Champions League with five goals from four matches.
Confirmed Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1): Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw; McTominay, Amrabat; Antony, Fernandes, Garnacho; Hojlund.
