Baking is an important part of the holidays. (When else can you enjoy your great-aunt’s famous cherry bourbon pie?!) And this year, Kate Hudson’s daughter Rani Rose got to join in on the baking fun with her mom and her grandma Goldie Hawn.
The A Little White Lie actress shared a video from Thanksgiving, where she hung out in the kitchen with her famous mom and her 5-year-old. In the video, Goldie is preparing pie crusts, Hudson is slicing oranges, and Rani is pressing oranges on a juicer. Later, Rani uses a hand-mixer to blend up something orange (pumpkin? Sweet potatoes?), while Hudson adds eggs. After a mandatory taste test from Rani, the dish is ready to go in the oven. It looks like maybe sweet potatoes inside the orange peel, with marshmallows on top. Rani even decorated hers to look like little marshmallow faces, which is too cute!
After popping the dish in the oven, Hudson shares a glimpse of their table, complete with little pumpkins and candles, which is set up on the back porch by the swimming pool. Several family members are gathered around for the meal, and the Almost Famous star zooms in on her sons Bingham, 12, and Ryder, 19. At the end, Hudson snuggles up for a selfie with stepdad Kurt Russell.
“Still grateful ???????????? #familyfirstalways,” Hudson captioned the heartwarming video.
Many people commented on the casual family atmosphere. “Lovely to see a high profile family enjoying a normal thanksgiving – no over the top table decor, no chefs – just a loving gathering – very refreshing ❤️,” one person wrote.

Last week, Hudson shared a sweet video to celebrate her mom’s 78th birthday. It included pictures and videos of candid moments, including several pictures with Hawn and Rani, including one when Rani was a newborn, one when the duo was dressed up like princesses and shared a sweet kiss, and one where they were both in the splits.
“A woman who is easy to celebrate!” the Glass Onion star wrote. “Happiest Birthday to the most fun, beautiful and inspiring mother ✨ We love you big time Gogo ????????????.”
Rani has two beautiful, inspiring women to look up to as she grows up. What a lucky girl!
