After leaks have circulated for much of the year, official images for the highly anticipated “The Powerpuff Girls” x Nike SB Dunk Low have finally touched down.
A trio of colorways have been done up for Bubbles, Blossom, and Buttercup — bringing to life the characters from the hit Cartoon Network show from the late-’90s and early-’00s. Each is as bright as the last and sees its namesake character’s eye decorate the mustache. All three also feature a nylon tongue with the “Powerpuff Girls” logo integrated into the pattern, as well as a star-adorned tongue tag featuring the respective character’s name and special mismatched insoles with Mojo Jojo on the right side.
Bubbles’ SB Dunk arrives in blue for what looks to be a canvas upper with a swirling texture. Smooth yellow leather forms the Swoosh to match the laces, while a black midsole sits atop a translucent icy blue outsole.
Pink forms the Blossom SB Dunk in suede and is accented by a smooth leather Swoosh and laces in orange. The midsole is once again black, while the outsole comes in translucent pink. Unique to this pair is a red heart integrated into the lacing system.
Rounding out the trio is is the Buttercup SB Dunk in green leather. In addition to the midsole, black forms the Swoosh and laces, while the outsole comes in translucent green. Reflective trim will also make this pair stand out under the lights.
Sneaker leakers have widely reported that the “Powerpuff Girls” x Nike SB Dunk Lows will release Dec. 14 through local skate shops and then Dec. 15 through the SNKRS app. Pricing is set at $135.
