OAKLAND — A 31-year-old man was found shot to death Tuesday morning in the parking lot of an East Oakland apartment complex, authorities said.
The man’s name has not yet been released.
The man was found about 11:14 a.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 10900 block of MacArthur Boulevard, an area that is a mixture of residences and businesses. He was pronounced dead in the lot.
Police have not yet said if the man lived at the apartment complex. It was not immediately clear if he had been killed at the lot or shot elsewhere and left there.
A motive for the killing has not yet been released. No arrests have been announced by police.
The killing is the 115th homicide investigated by Oakland police this year. Last year at this time police had investigated 112 homicides in the city.
