FESTIVE shoppers are rushing to buy Cadbury selection boxes that are the cheapest around.
A savvy shopper spotted the cheap Christmas chocs in Home Bargains reduced to just 99p.
The offer was spotted by one festive bargain hunter looking to buy 100 selection boxes.
They made a post in the Extreme Coupoining and Bargains Facebook group asking fellow shoppers what they thought of the deal.
It read: “Are these the cheapest selection boxes anyone’s seen? Got over 100 to get so want the best bargain I can find.”
Fellow shoppers were quick to give their thoughts on what they thought of the Home Bargains offer.
One said: “Yes that’s the best price.”
Another agreed and added: “Yes, I think that’s a good price”.
While a third commented: “It’s the cheapest I have seen”.
However, some shoppers said that they had seen cheaper in Farm Foods at just 89p each.
But some people in the comments seem to think that this price was no longer available.
We were only able to check prices and competitors online and therefore could not verify the Farm Foods selection box price.
Farm Foods does not display products on its website, but you can use it to check where your local supermarket is by using the store locator.
However, there are lots of deals around at the moment, as retailers battle it out to be the cheapest.
The closer it gets to Christmas it is likely that we will see even more reductions on the shelves, so it is important to shop around.
You can use price comparison sites such as Google Shopping and Trolley.co.uk to compare the price of items across online retailers.
But remember, you still might be able to get a better offer by visiting the actual store.
We had a look around the see what offers other retailers have on Cadbury selection boxes at the moment.
Morrisons has a Cadbury selection box for £1.35 which is slightly more expensive but it does appear to be bigger than the one in Home Bargains at 145g.
Sainsbury’s also has the same one as Morrisons but it is even more expensive at £2.50.
We found the same Cadbury selection box as the one in Home Bargains which appears to be the 85g size.
Both Tesco and Poundland stock the 85g size, however both are still more expensive than Home Bargains at £1.25.
