A FASHIONISTA has been able to “balance” her look after she decided to wear lingerie for a night out.
She said the corset was the “star” of her ensemble.
She said her corset was the ‘star’ of her outfit[/caption]TikToker Monica Sanluiss (@monicasanluiss) created a video to show her tips for mixing different styles.
She paired a corset with an oversized blazer, cargo pants, jewelry, and white Reebok sneakers.
“Me thinking throwing a blazer over a corset cancels out the fact that I’m wearing lingerie as a top,” she wrote. “It’s called balance.”
In a second video, Monica shared her outfit details.
“The star of the show is the corset,” she said. “I got it from Glassons.”
Monica’s exact corset doesn’t appear to be available on the Glassons website any longer, but a similar option in black and nude retails for $20.
The top is a dupe of an Urban Outfitters corset, which sells for $160.
“It’s so similar to the Urban one. I got it in two colors,” she said. “You guys need it.”
Monica’s cargo pants were from Brandy Melville. They offer similar trousers for $48.
Her Vamp Official jacket doesn’t appear to be available any longer, but they do have other options.
Their double-breasted blazer in cream retails for $92.
Aside from the corset, Monica said that her small black bag was another one of her favorite pieces.
Corsets as a fashion statement first emerged among celebrities in the ’90s and ’00s.
But wearing corsets outside the bedroom is a trend that is becoming more popular once more, according to InStyle.
“They’re suddenly everywhere, every day, no matter where the wearer is headed,” they wrote.
