The trial of esteemed rapper Young Thug, also known as Jeffery Lamar Williams, has kicked off in Atlanta, where he faces accusations of co-founding a violent criminal street gang and leveraging his music to endorse it. Prosecutors are making a controversial move by presenting Young Thug's rap lyrics as evidence in the trial, where he maintains his plea of not guilty. Originally indicted alongside over two dozen individuals, five co-defendants are now set to stand trial with him.
