A Soviet war memorial in Berlin has been daubed with more than 20 swastikas. The swastikas on the monument in the Alt-Hohenschönhausen district in the east of the city were about 20 by 20 centimetres in size and spread over an area of seven by two metres, a police spokeswoman said on Monday. A passerby noticed the Nazi symbols on Sunday evening and called the police. The emergency services covered over the graffiti.
