Many have wondered about the intricacies of Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle’s real relationship is like. Are they mortal enemies? Frenemies? Or secretly friends behind closed doors? Many insiders have claimed they’re more on the cordial side when they have to be in the same room, but others claim they can’t even be in the same room together if they can help it.
However, in Omid Scobie’s upcoming book Endgame, he claimed the reality is a bit more complicated than people think. They had “almost zero direct communication, bar a few short pleasantries, between the pair since late 2019.”
This is incredibly confusing, considering a few events that have taken place since 2019. For instance, Meghan and Prince Harry didn’t even step down as working royals until Jan 2020, so did they never have a conversation while they lived in the same area?! Along with that, there have been major events like Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II’s respective funerals.
If this claim is true, then that means they’ve barely spoken, even at the funerals and events happening. Yikes.
“She can be cold if she doesn’t like someone,” Scobie said via RadarOnline, adding Kate was alleged “never a fan” of Meghan. And even said Kate “spent more time talking about Meghan than talking to her.”
For those who don’t know, Scobie’s book Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival will be released on Nov 28. It follows the royals after the death of Queen Elizabeth II, and how a modernizing world may be what makes or break them.
