PIERS MORGAN has claimed VAR is “wrecking football” after Arsenal saw a goal ruled out for offside.
The Gunners thought they had taken the lead against Brentford through Leandro Trossard in the first half of the Premier League fixture.
Piers Morgan was left fuming with VAR[/caption]The Belgian winger headed home after Mark Flekken pulled off a stunning save to deny Gabriel Jesus.
However, after a long VAR check, the goal was ruled out as Trossard was adjudged to be offside.
Morgan disagreed with the decision as he took to social media.
He posted: “FFS…. VAR wrecking football yet again. I hate it so much.”
And the TalkTV host was not the only one to hold that sentiment.
Another viewer commented: “VAR at it again throw it out.”
A second wrote: “We need VAR improvement!”
The decision was a tight call and the choice to rule out the goal was proven correct.

Trossard’s foot was slightly in front of Jesus when he played the ball forward towards the goal.
Meanwhile, the match lacked much other excitement in the first half.
The other notable moment was when Aaron Ramsdale fluffed a clearance that almost led to a Brentford goal.
However, the England international appeared relaxed after the half-time break as he ran to his goal with his tongue stuck out.
Arsenal did almost fall behind in the 76th minute but Oleksandr Zinechenko did enough to deny Neal Maupay.
