TOTTENHAM legend Jermain Defoe helped put on a training session at ARSENAL on Thursday evening.
The Spurs icon, 41, is working for the Lilywhites as an academy coach and ambassador.
But his FA coaching course took him to the home of Tottenham’s bitter rivals as he worked on an U14s session for one of the Gunners’ youth sides.
According to The Mail, Defoe was one of a number of coaches and ex-pros that attended the session as he continues to work towards his new career as a football manager.
But his appearance at Arsenal‘s academy HQ in East London was nothing more than a compulsory part of his course, so Spurs fans should not be concerned.
Similar sessions have also been put on at Brighton and Burnley.
Defoe officially hung up his boots in March 2022 after a sensational 23-year playing career.
He scored 324 goals, including 143 for Tottenham.
He is seventh on the list of Spurs’ all-time top scorers, ahead of the likes of Robbie Keane, Teddy Sheringham and Gary Lineker.
Defoe spent four years in North London between 2004 and 2008 during which he helped lift the club’s last major trophy – the Carabao Cup 15 years ago.

He then left for Portsmouth, before he returned to Spurs one year later and scored a further 79 goals in 186 games.
Defoe also enjoyed spells with the likes of West Ham, Bournemouth, Toronto FC, Sunderland and Rangers.
Since retiring, Tottenham have allowed him to return to the club as part of the academy staff while he completes his coaching badges.
Defoe was in the news earlier this week after a report into his transfer from Tottenham to Portsmouth in 2008 led to the FA opening an investigation into allegations of breaching agent rules.
