The House of Representatives announced this week that the issue of missing persons in Cyprus will be discussed during a visit of the Standing Committee on Refugees, Enclaved, Missing, and Adversely Affected Persons to the European Parliament in Brussels.
According to the announcement, a delegation of the committee, comprising its Chairman Nicos Kettiros and members Nikos Georgiou, Christos Senekis, Sotiris Ioannou, Michalis Yiakoumi and Kostis Efstathiou will travel to Brussels on Monday for a visit to the European Parliament.
The delegation will participate in a meeting of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs of the EP, where Permanent Rapporteur on missing persons in Cyprus, Isabel Santos, will present her work and activities on the subject.
Kettiros will also present the current state of affairs regarding the issue of missing persons in Cyprus followed by an exchange of views.
Moreover, the delegation will also hold bilateral meetings with representatives of European Parliament political groups.
