Justin Jefferson's priority isn't your fantasy team, in case you were wondering.
Look, we all want to win our fantasy football leagues. Whether there’s money on the line or not, there’s nothing like those year-long bragging rights you get from beating your buddies in competition.
But sometimes it’s important to be reminded that it’s just “fantasy” football. It’s not real. And the players we draft, sign and trade to those rosters do play real football — a violent sport where they suffer real injuries that require time to heal.
Justin Jefferson, who’s been limited to five games this season with a hamstring injury, light-heartedly provided that reminder Tuesday on X. Addressing fantasy players apparently messaging him about when he’ll return, Jefferson said his health is more important than their fantasy games.
My health is wayyyy more important than you winning your fantasy games. It doesn’t matter how many times y’all flood my dms talking about me selling your team. I DONT CARE

“My health is wayyyy more important than you winning your fantasy games,” Jefferson tweeted. “It doesn’t matter how many times y’all flood my dms talking about me selling your team. I DONT CARE.”
Fantasy players have heard enough about how athletes don’t care about their teams. We certainly have at FTW. But it hits different coming from someone actually dealing with injury.
