November 21 – Six shirts worn by Lionel Messi during Argentina’s winning run at last year’s World Cup are to be sold at auction and could become the most valuable collection of sports memorabilia.
The shirts being auctioned by Sotheby’s will break the record if they sell for more than the $9.3 million price tag for Diego Maradona’s shirt that was worn during the 1986 quarter-final victory over England during which he scored his infamous ‘Hand of God’ goal.
