Bargain Hunt fans beg ‘what’s your secret?!’ as Christina Trevanion ‘ages backwards’ with 12-year transformation pic
BARGAIN Hunt fans have been left in awe at show host Christina Trevanion and have branded her ‘ageless’ as she showed off her epic 12-year transformation.
The BBC favourite shared a lengthy post in which she wore the same glam purple dress 12 years apart whilst looking more youthful than ever.
Christina had worn the figure-hugging outfit on a recent episode of Bargain Hunt and was inundated with a flurry of comments over her beauty.
Her fans were then left stunned to realise it was the exact same dress she wore on her debut as Christina admitted that the dress held a lot of significance to her.
Opening up in a length Instagram post, she revealed she bought the garment second-hand as a last ditch attempt to turn her fortunes around and land her dream TV gig.
The star penned: “I love this dress, but not for the reasons you might think.
“I wore this dress for my first ever Bargain Hunt auction (in 2012 – picture 1 – picture 2 this year), I distinctly remember because I was (just about) surviving on Stat Maternity Pay, couldn’t afford to buy anything new and didn’t have anything in my wardrobe that wasn’t an elasticated tent or have baby sick all over it.
“So I panic bought this dress for £14.99, second hand on eBay.
“When it arrived, I put it on and it was the first time in months that I actually felt human again, and could look in the mirror and recognise who was staring back, not the frumpy, sleep deprived new mum I was.”
Christina was eventually successful in her audition and is still on the show to this day.
The star credited the dress for bringing her confidence back amid an undetermined period in her life.
Reflecting back on her humble beginnings and how far she has come, she added: “I love wearing it now because it reminds me how far I’ve come, how quickly these years fly by.. and that clearly my taste hasn’t changed!
“It also reminds me of a fantastic decade with my Bargain Hunt family, who have been there for me through thick and thin (literally!).
“For all new mums out there who are struggling to get by on no sleep and trying to pull it all together on a daily basis – there is light at the end of the tunnel!”
Her figure looked sensational as the star looked even younger than before as she sported new lighter locks as well as her clear zest for life.
Sending her well-wishes, one fan said: “This dress is so pretty Christina. Very encouraging words for those who need them.”
Another added: “Wow fantastic,you are our favourite presenter on the show .So pleasant and happy.”
