I played Sun Vegas’ Age of the Gods games – here’s what happened next

IN this week’s Keep up with Katrina, I played three games from the Age of the Gods franchise.

It’s hard to imagine a time before bingo.

However, with modern bingo tracing its origins to 16^th century Italy, Ancient Greece didn’t have bingo, certainly not in a format that modern audiences would recognise.

I know, for an advanced society, it seems very backwards! However, that’s the world that this week’s games are set in.

It made sense to start with the original Age of the Gods slot game, taking things back to the basics.  

There are 20 paylines across which you can win cash prizes. When you set your stake amount, you are selecting the bet per line.

So, you can choose how many paylines to activate.

The more lines that are active, the greater the chances of a win but also the higher the stake amount, as the total bet is calculated as follows: 

Number of paylines x bet per line 

I opted for all of the paylines and 1p per line, so placed 20p bets.

The winds of chance swept me into the arms of Aeolus, the divine keeper of the winds, and master of this game.

Although, he doesn’t like to blow his own trumpet. He keeps those breaths for this slot.

In fact, it’s one of his powerful exhales that helped to bag me a big win on this game.  

On one spin, a reel was totally filled by ship wilds. This triggered free games!

HOW TO WIN IN POKER – ALL THE HANDS YOU CAN PLAY

For the next four spins, Aeolus appeared on alternating sides of the table.

Each spin, he took an almighty breath and blew the ship wilds one reel over.

While this happened, the gold coins on the board stuck. When the ship passed over the coins, it collected them and I bagged a cash prize.  

If this really was Ancient Greece, I’m sure a sacrifice of some sort would be in order.

Age of the Gods: Fate Sisters

In mythology, the Fates are three sisters. Clotho spun the thread of human fate, Lachesis measured it out and Atropos cut the thread, dictating the human’s lifespan.  

Fortunately, the stakes aren’t life and death in this game. Instead, they can range between 25p and £10!

CRAZY EIGHTS IS A CLASSIC CARD GAME – DO YOU KNOW HOW TO PLAY?

You play across up to 25 paylines and, just as in the original Age of the Gods slot, the total bet is a multiplication of your bet per line and number of active paylines.  

When you land three scatter symbols, you get the chance to pick which of the sisters’ free game modes you’d like to play.  

There are four jackpots that appear across most of the AOG games: Power, Extra Power, Super Power and Ultimate Power.
