The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) plans to install ozone reactors, solar fountains, floating islands, and in-situ water treatment facilities in five ponds to rejuvenate them. This will be the first time the GNIDA uses ozone reactors to clean the ponds of contaminants. If successful, the same approach may be used for other ponds. The installation of solar-based ozone reactors will help ensure effective treatment of faecal coliform and kill bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa in the pond. Additionally, a solar fountain will be used for aeration to maintain clean pond water.
