13,000 casualties in Israeli attacks on Gaza
Health authorities in Palestine have reported that since the beginning of the conflict between Israel and Hamas, the number of casualties in Gaza has tragically risen to 13,000 fatalities and 30,000 wounded.
These authorities stated in a statement released on Sunday that among the casualties, 5,500 children have tragically lost their lives.
According to a statement, more than six thousand individuals, including four thousand women and children, remain trapped under the rubble in various parts of Gaza.
Meanwhile, in the latest reports, Israel’s attacks on two schools in northern Gaza have resulted in the deaths of dozens of civilians.
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has condemned the attack on the two schools in northern Gaza and emphasized that in this assault, tens of women and children seeking safety lost their lives.
Furthermore, Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on Palestinian affairs, has described Israel’s attacks on UNRWA shelters as “heart-wrenching” and called on countries to take action for a ceasefire in Gaza.
According to the United Nations report, more than 70% of the victims of Israel’s attacks on Gaza are women and children.
It is worth noting that The Washington Post has reported that Israel and the United States have agreed to a five-day ceasefire in exchange for the release of dozens of hostages.
Despite over four weeks passing and the loss of thousands of lives in Palestine, international efforts for a ceasefire in Gaza have not yielded results.
