WITH beauty advent calendars hitting shelves as early as August, many of the big names have already sold out.
But if you’re only just thinking about Christmas, here’s the best of what’s left – suitable for all budgets.
Budget
GLOSSYBOX “Feel The Magic” advent calendar 2023, £80: I had to think long and hard about what constitutes affordable in the beauty advent calendar world as, generally, you get what you pay for – and many of those on the bargain end are barely worth the RRP.
This was the best value I found.
Granted, £80 isn’t cheap, but given the contents are worth nearly £500, it is definitely worth investing in.
Highlights include Avant collagen intense radiance activator serum, which costs £92 alone, as well as brands such as Rodial, Medik8 and L’Occitane. glossybox.co.uk
Mid-range
Space NK 12 Days Of Fragrance Advent Calendar, £150: I rated Space NK’s beauty advent calendar among the best this year and, unfortunately, it is long sold out.
But they have now launched this 12 Days Of Fragrance set and it is just as good – especially if you are already happy with your make-up and skincare routine, as you are more likely to get proper use out of the smellies inside.
Goodies include three full-sized fragrances from Diptyque, Laura Mercier and Malin+Goetz, plus a full-sized scented candle from Rose Inc, all for the price of one perfume.
If I could pick just one of the three to take home, it would be this.

Jo Malone London 25 Day Advent Calendar, £350: If I had £350 to spend on an advent calendar, there is no doubt it would be this one.
With that iconic cream-and-black packaging and a dash of this year’s festive ginger biscuit offering, it is packed with everything a perfume lover could ever need – travel size scents, votive candles, hand wash and cream, body lotion and lip balm.
And there’s a mix of limited edition festive scents plus its iconic best-sellers like Peony and Blush Suede and Wood Sage and Sea Salt to keep you smelling stellar all year long. jomalone.co.uk
