THE iconic Coca-Cola truck is embarking on its annual UK tour once again for the 2023 festive period.
The legendary vehicle, made famous by the drinks company’s 1995 Christmas advert, will stop at several locations in November and December in the hopes of spreading holiday cheer.
According to Coca-Cola‘s official website, the Coca-Cola truck tour will begin on November 30.
As of November 18, only two locations have been confirmed, though there will no doubt be more announced at a later date.
From November 30 – December 3, the Coca-Cola truck will stop at RDS Simmonscourt in Dublin.
It will be open from 2pm until 5pm, then 6pm until 9pm.
From December 8 – December 10 the truck will be at the Titanic Slipway in Belfast.
There, it will also be open from 2pm until 5pm, then 6pm until 9pm.
Ticket for the dates in Ireland and Northern Ireland that have already been announced are available on Eventbrite.
The tickets are priced from €3.14 each, a portion of which will be donated to charity.
This is the first time a visit to the Coca-Cola truck has required a ticket, and it’s not yet known if this will be the case at every location.
Coca-Cola has, however, partnered with several charities in the past, including homelessness charity Crisis and food bank charity FareShare.
In the past, Coca-Cola fans who visit the truck have been been able to sample festive treats at a pop-up winter market, take part in games and take “elfie selfies”.
Visitors have also been able to buy a special Coca-Cola that can be personalised with their name or a short phrase.
The itinerary for the Coca-Cola truck can be found on the drink’s official website.
Announcements about new dates and locations added to the truck’s schedule will be posted.
The Coca-Cola Christmas truck was first seen in the brand’s hugely popular 1995 advert.
The 60-second clip features the now-iconic Holidays Are Coming song, which is still synonymous with Coca-Cola to this day.
The truck began touring the US in 2001 but didn’t start visiting the UK until 2010.
As of November 18, it is not yet known where the Coca-Cola truck tour will finish, but two destinations for 2023 have been confirmed: Dublin and Belfast.
In 2022, the tour stopped at the following locations:
The full schedule for the 2023 Coca-Cola truck tour is still to be confirmed.
