Following months of speculation, the name of Kourtney Kardashian Barker and Travis Barker’s newborn son has been confirmed.
After obtaining the baby’s birth certificate, The Blast verified his moniker is one eagle-eyed fans likely remember hearing the Blink-182 drummer mention months ago. Additionally, the legal document confirms the newest addition to the Kardashian family was born on November 1.
In July, Barker and his daughter Alabama sat down for an episode of Complex’s Goat Talk series, and the musician revealed he was partial to the name “Rocky Thirteen.” While the unique moniker fits the drummer’s edgy aesthetic, he explained that there’s meaning behind the name as well.
Barker said his fondness for “Rocky” came from his love of Rocky George, who played guitar for Suicidal Tendencies. Additionally, rockstar opined that “13 is just the greatest number of all time.” Taken as her dad was by the name, Alabama was far less enchanted, offering alternative suggestions on behalf of her baby brother including Milan and Cloud. Undeterred and apparently with the Poosh founder on board, Barker did indeed name their first child together Rocky Thirteen Barker.
As far back as June, Kardashian and Barker seem to have settled on the rock-and-roll-inspired name. The Kardashians star shared a variety of maternity photos on Instagram that month, and Barker cheekily commented on one of them. “I already know his name,” the Blink-182 musician teased.
Including baby Rocky, the couple has a blended family of seven kids. Kardashian shares sons Mason, 13, and Reign, 8, as well as daughter Penelope, 11, with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick. Barker welcomed two kids with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler, son Landon, 20, and daughter Alabama, 17, and he also had an active role in raising Moakler’s daughter Atiana De La Hoya, 24, whom she welcomed in a previous relationship. Earlier in this month, a source told ET that the Barkers “feel complete after the birth of their son.”
The source shared, “The couple can’t stop smiling and expressing gratitude for their blessing. The couple has been surrounded by love and their families have been there to support them where needed.” They added, “Right now the couple is trying to enjoy this time, because they know it goes by fast.”
